The main routes to Ystrad Mynach are from the M4 and A465.
From the M4: Exit at junction 28 and follow the A467 to Risca & Newbridge. Then via the A472, signposted Ystrad Mynach. After 5 miles, at a mini roundabout opposite a carpet showroom, turn right and follow the A472 - signposted Nelson. The Council offices are on the right, after a stone railway bridge. Or Exit at junction 32 and follow the A470, signposted Merthyr Tydfil. After 11 miles, at a large roundabout, join the A472 - signposted Ystrad Mynach. The Tredomen offices are reached within approximately 3 miles, on the left of the road.
From the A465: Just east of Merthyr Tydfil turn left on the A4060, signposted Cardiff. Join the A470 for 8 miles. At the roundabout with the A4059/A472 junction, turn left to Ystrad Mynach on the A472. The Tredomen offices are reached within approximately 3 miles, on the left of the road.
by train
Ystrad Mynach is served by a local rail service, which connects at Cardiff Central with all main line services to London Paddington, West and North Wales, the Midlands, the North and Scotland.
Trains run from Cardiff approximately every 30 minutes. From the Ystrad Mynach station, turn left for the Tredomen offices (a 10 minute walk)

by bus
The service 26 operates hourly from Cardiff to Ystrad Mynach- the journey takes about an hour. There is a half hourly bus, the service 50 from Newport, which also takes an hour.
